Running south of Golden Gate Park from west of Cole Valley to the ocean, the Sunset is comprised of many little microhoods, from the bustling Inner Sunset beside UCSF to the Outer Sunset, where small cottages and surfers can be found. Like the Richmond, it is home to a diverse community of residents and shares proximity to Golden Gate Park and the beach. We love this neighborhood for its sweet communities that feel like small towns in the city and its hidden spots that only the locals know. Oh, and seeing surfers in wet suits strolling home from catching a wave isn’t the worst thing ever.
