Alamo Square
Considered one of the most photographed neighborhoods in San Francisco, Alamo Square is home to the famous ‘Painted Ladies,’ a row of colorful Victorian houses overlooking the sparkling city skyline, all of which factor into tours, postcards, number TV shows and films. Many architecturally significant houses line the perimeter of this centerpiece park, including the Archbishop's Mansion and the Russian and German Imperial consuls' residences dating back from the 1900s. Alamo Square/Western Addition’s prime central location makes all the shops and restaurants of nearby NOPA, Divisadero, and Hayes Street easily accessible.
